Think: Where is this film made? Who is it made for? Is there any useful information for us from it? Are there any tips not useful for us? Why / why not?

So are you wondering what goes on in a compost bin? Take a look here - https://youtu.be/cBkBwVFFEWw
Think: What lives in a compost bin?

Think: who made this video? Are they trying to sell you anything? Why do you think that? Is there any useful information for us to learn from this video? Is it the same as anything else we have seen?

After watching all three videos and then looking at the diagrams we now know more about composting. We can begin to make conclusions and see patterns and methods to make successful compost. We also understand how and why to use a compost bin. Wow!

We still don't know it allows. It's likely we will keep learning.
Look at this picture
This is the same as our compost bin at school.
Think: Why do the bin contents look different?
Think: a clue is when someone says "I've got to turn the compost" what does this mean? Why do we 'turn' the compost?

Think: what do we do with our compost?

You may want to research further, or find someone with a compost bin as this isn't all there is to know. By researching further and experimenting ourselves we will become experts. Sharing and listening to others helps us to refine (which means make even better) our compost making skills.

Here is our compost glossary of new words we have learnt:
